I picked this foundation up at Sephora after seeing some pretty good reviews on the website. At $38, this is definitely more money then I'm used to spending on a foundation, but I had pretty high hopes. Tarte is a great brand and this product is formulated without parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, petrochemicals, GMOs, phthalates, and triclosan which is great for us who are very ingredient conscious or those of us with sensitive skin. This foundation claims to be full coverage, long lasting (for 12 hours), and that it reduces the appearance of pores, discoloration, and imperfections.
I find that this foundation provides pretty amazing coverage and was an almost perfect color match. I didn't find that it reduced the appearance of my pores though. I did find that my skin got extremely oily while wearing this foundation and I found that it looked very cakey on my chin and would wear off by the end of the day. I don't have that problem with other foundations.
The esthetician in me loves that the SPF in this product is a physical sunscreen. Not many foundations have physical sunscreens in them and I'm very pleased that Tarte does.
I love that the foundation is in a squeeze tube and found the mousse texture is thick enough to provide the really amazing coverage.
Most of Tarte's products are really hit or miss for me. Some of thing things I've tried, I really enjoy. Some other products didn't work as well for me. Overall I enjoyed the way this foundation made my skin look. Since I work long days, I really need my foundation to last. This foundation just didn't do that. I found that it made me very oily after only a few hours. This is a really great foundation if you only need to it look great for a few hours. You should be warned though that this won't work in flash photography because the physical sunscreens will cause a serious white cast.
I did enjoy this foundation while I had it and I would recommend it to other people. It just didn't completely work the way I wanted it to on my skin. If you have combination to normal skin though, I think this is definitely worth checking out.
