This Spa Glove has two sides, one to clean your face brushes and the other to clean your eye brushes. Both sides have sections that tells you what to do in each section. There are four sections that have different textures that help to clean your brushes. The textures on the eye brush side are smaller than the textures on the face brush side.
To use this your first wet your brush and apply what ever soap or brush cleanser that you plan on using. Then to clean your brush there are five steps.
1. Wash- this will initially get out most of the product built up in your brush
2. Rinse
3. Refine- after rinsing you'll apply more cleanser and rub the brush on the Refine texture which will really get deep into the brush to get out every bit of makeup that's still stuck in there.
4. Rinse
5. Shape- place your brush between your thumb and forefinger and squeeze the excess water out of the brush
You repeat these steps for each brush.
Initially, I though this would do nothing to speed up the time it too to clean my brushes. I mean there are just so many steps! On average it takes me 45 minutes to an hour to clean all of my brushes. Using the Spa Glove it took me 30 minutes.
Before I would have to go back in with soap and swirl the brush on my palm at least 3 times and I still wouldn't get all of the product out of the brush. This spa glove quickens the process and makes my brushes cleaner than I have even seen them. They really look like they are brand new.
I highly recommend spending the money on this product, especially if you have a lot of brushes. This speeds up the entire process that I used to dread because it would take so long. Now it's super fast and I get perfectly clean brushes without getting my hands all wet.
As I said, this product is $35 dollars and it comes in four colors (pink, purple, blue, and black). The Sigma website also has a video on how to use this product if you are interested.
