To make the information easier for me to see what parts of my collection that need work, I have put the info into charts. This was the eye opening part. I am going to share my charts with you today so you can see just how crazy things can get when you are influenced by hype and reviews on products on social media. I can guarantee that if it wasn't for Youtube and blogs, I would not own 99% of the products that I do.
My Current Makeup Collection
I organized the next charts in three categories: face, eye, and lip product collections. I also have two bars on each. The first bar represents the number of that product that I currently own and the second bar represents the number that I want to ideally own.
My Current vs Ideal Makeup Collection
As you can see, presenting this information in this way really puts into perspective how much stuff I actually have. I have only hit pan on maybe a handful of products and that's it. I have no lip products close to being done either. I have spread my usage out over all my products and because of that they all look basically brand new. It feels so good to use of products and know that you haven't wasted your money.
I wouldn't say that my collection is huge. It is bigger than the average person's but there are many people that have way more than me. I honestly don't understand how they do it. Knowing I have all of these products that go unused gives me so much anxiety. I have so much money invested in this collection and it's all just sitting there. I am willingly going on a no buy indifferently. Anything that interests me I will place on my Sephora loves list and I will purchase them at the Sephora VIB Rouge sale in November.
I honestly feel so good about this decision. I honestly think this is the best thing I have ever done. Are you planning on doing a Project Use it Up or Project Pan? Maybe, Project Pan That Palette? Let me know so we can inspire and support one another!
