Face Products I Destashed 2016- Face Products
1. Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls in Translucent Pearls- This was a very affordable and beautiful highlight. I was subtle and had no chunks of glitter. It was a very nice white pink but I had to let it go because I have so many highlights that I just didn't find myself reaching for this one.
2. MAC Powder Blush in Dame- I am not a huge fan of the MAC blush formula and I only realized that after I had bought a bunch of them. I just didn't like this shade on my skin tone. For that reason, it had to go.
3. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Glisten- This is another blush formula that is very hyped up that I am just not a fan of . This color was almost exactly the same as my Nars Super Orgasm blush that I was panning this year and I definitely don't think I can go through another whole blush in the same shade.
4. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Doll Face- I already know that I am not a huge fan of this formula but this color did nothing for me. I tried to make this work but I always hated my blush whenever I wore this.
5. Makeup Geek Blush in First Love- This is one of the original release blushes and I don't even know if this color still exists in the reformulated formula. This shade was just too light on me, which is insane since I am the fairest of the fair. The only thing that would show up is shimmer and that is just not a look I like.
6. Makeup Geek Blush in Head Over Heels- This is another of the original Makeup Geek blushes. The color was so beautiful but the bright pink shimmer/duochrome was too bright and just looked odd on my fair skin.
7. Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Pearl- This shade was too dark on me and I think this foundation made me super oily. This foundation also broke up on me throughout the day even when I wore a mattifying primer. For those reasons, it had to go.
8. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop- I know some people will be so shocked to see that I let this product go. This highlight is beautiful but because the shade is so pigmented, I can't wear it. Instead of being beautiful and shimmery, it just looks like I put an orange peach eyeshadow on my cheekbones. I held onto this for so long but I never reached for it. Finally I decided it was time to pass it along to someone that could actually use it and wear it.
9. The Balm Frat Boy- This was such a beautiful blush color. Unfortunately, it just didn't translate as beautifully onto my face. I have really worked on decluttering my blush collection this year so unfortunately it had to go.
10. Too Faced Love Flush Blush in Baby Love- I have absolutely nothing against this blush, I just didn't like this color on me.
11. Urban Decay Afterglow Blush in Fetish- This was beautiful swatched but it was a weird nude pink plum blush shade that just wasn't flattering on me.
12. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Ethereal Glow- This has a beautiful finish and texture but this is another shade that is just too light on my skin. With shades like these, I have no idea which skin tone that this will actually work on.
13. Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush in Something About Berry- This was a beautiful blush but I found that I had to be very careful when applying so it wasn't too bright on my skin. It also was extremely shimmery which was pretty but it just accentuated the pores on my cheeks.
14. Nars One Night Stand Cheek Palette- Man is this product a throw back! I purchased this years ago when the Nars cheek palettes were so popular and a must have item. I don't love the shades in this palette and I never found myself reaching for it. I already finished a Super Orgasm blush this year and I know I am not ready to go through another one any time soon. I have so many blushes and I know that I would never be able to get through all of these cheek products. I decided to pass it along to someone who could love it more than I did.
15. Bare Minerals Matte Powder Foundation- So many people love this foundation and when I see people use it, it always looks so great. I have tried applying this in thin layers or alot at once. I have tried it with multiple different Bare Minerals brushes. I find it has no coverage and no matter how much I blend or if I add more product or not, it always looks like I have a ton of powder on my face. I personally don't think it's worth the hype or the money.
In case anyone was curious, I didn't throw away any of these products. They were sanitized and disinfected and the offered to my family. Any of the products my family didn't want I offered to friends and brought to work for one of my co-workers that loves makeup but just doesn't have the money for it.
Stay tuned for the second part about all of my eye products!
