I didn't have high hopes for accuracy from her skin type quiz. I was very surprised that the results were very accurate. She has 9 skin types and my results concluded that I am Skin Type 3, though I do feel like I fall in between Type 3 and Type 4. Since I felt like I fell into two different skin types, I decided to pick and choose what products I wanted to try.
This is the cleanser from the Skin Type 4 regimen. I decided to go with this one over the cleanser for Type 3 because that one had AHA, BHA, and exfoliating beads. I felt that it might be a little too harsh for every day and could possibly be drying on my skin. This is supposed to be a very gentle cleanser that is not drying, deep cleansing, and completely safe for sensitive skin.
This is the toner from the Type 3 line. I chose this toner over the toner from Type 4 because this one is specifically supposed to combat oil and acne causing bacteria. Since my skin has been freaking out recently, I thought I could use all the help I can get in that department.
Daily Protection SPF 30- $37.50
Since I am not familiar with this line I only wanted to get one moisturizer. I chose this over the Matte Moisturizer because I know how important it is to wear sunscreen every day. I often forget to put on sunscreen because it is another step and layer to my face. Since I am in a rush in the morning, I find that it's so much easier to kill two birds with one stone. This is a light moisturizer and sun protection all in one. This will be a total life saver in the mornings. If I like this moisturizer, I will definitely be purchasing the Matte Moisture.
I don't remember what skin type this was recommended for but it is definitely a product I need in my life. I suffer from Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation and anything that can help fade the dark spots that stick around forever (or so it feels like) is greatly appreciated. I'm thinking about doing a review on this with before and after pictures. If you are interested, let me know in a comment below.
I wanted to try out one more product and I decided on an exfoliator. This one really interested me, since I love trying exfoliators. I believe this product might be recommended for almost all the skin types. Since I have sensitive skin, this product will be interesting for me to try out. I will definitely report back.
